Locking gas cap 66 dart

Do the 67 dart gas cap fit the 66 dart gas nozzle?

My calculations say no, but perhaps there's

Nope, the inside diameter of the hole is slightly different. I've seen them jammed on there too, and, they ruined the filler neck to where the correct cap won't seal anymore. Usually the limit tabs get bent over against the side of the tube and the cap just spins around 360 degrees.
 
Could a 67 filler neck be put into a 66?

I seem to recall some type of locking device that goes into the ID of the filler.
 
i think classic is now listing one,- i doublt it will fit- but I don't think they have made them since the late 80's so i am curious if this one works for your needs. Lets us know if it works
 
I wouldn’t use a locking cap as on my 66 Dart the damn gas flowed out of the key hole and the ethanol in it ate the original paint up, This car thru the years had all kinds of fuel from Sunoco 260 and race gas. Just a warning from a 66 Dart owner.
