Am I justified in my frustration?

Troy, thanks for coming onboard and telling your side of the story. You do seem to be a stand up guy. Now the only thing I have to offer is that you should of mentioned it was seized up. Sure he should of checked it over some but he didn’t. I would of mentioned it if I was selling it. To me a rebuildable core would of just needed bearings and seals plus brakes. Everyone has their own definition of a core. Kim

Believe me if I had to do it over again I would of done things differently. I said that I knew the pinion was stuck but looking at the overall condition I did not believe this was a major issue.
When a repair shop or a dealer buys a rebuilt differential it always comes with new bearings, clutches and gears. They never reused the old gears, they always replace them. When I have my own diffs rebuilt they always use new gears because they do not know if the original gears howl or not.
