Ford Maverick

OK here's the annoying story from the old days, if I can remember it all LOLOL

1...Stupidly sold the 70 RR (it was a 440-6, so V code body) in the midst of the 70's "gas crises. Lowest value it would ever be

2....Bought a "nice shape" 74 Courier, but some cool little slot mags on the thing and had my buddy at the muffler shop build a cool side exit pipe. IT NEVER WOULD DRIVE decent despite about 3 trips to a front end shop. And it had poor power

JUST LIKE THIS ONE

Had these kind 'o wheels on it

3....Went up to Kan-uh-Duh on a 4x4 outing and on the way back damn near to the border, I HAD TO GO BAD. I didn't know what was ahead, but there were some trees behind me, so I pulled over to turn around. What I did not see was somebody --WHO LATER TURNED OUT TO NOT HAVE BRAKES--- had gotten clear over to the far left shoulder because he said "he wasn't sure what I would do." Well I could not see him way over there he was out of the field of the mirrors, and I did not turn around.

So I started a "U-ee" and SMACK, at about a ? 30 degree angle between the two and here is the deal

THESE WERE TWINS COURIERS AND WERE EVEN THE SAME COLOR.

4....Managed to nurse the rest of mine home but it turned out to have a bent frame. I'd agreed to buy his thinking I could fix both. Found a no-engine courier someone had started a v8 swap and then given up, I towed it home.

5....There was a local body guy, who had a worn out Courier, hated it, one day I was kidding him told him, "see if you can get it under a falling tree---don't hurt the front clip or the bed, just kill the cab. So he did LOLOL. He lived on a small hill, and started the worn out thing one morning and it would not run on "all 16". He got pissed and revvved it way up, suddenly it fired on all four AND LAUNCHED THE TRUCK OFF THE EDGE OF THE HILL, rolled upside down and crushed the cab!!!!!

6....So I fixed the Canuck one, sold it, took the left over parts and threw them at the one that was a v8 swap target---had to weld the engine mounts back into it out of my wrecked one. The one I drove was piss green with a mustard door from one of the wrecked ones, and a blue hood from the rollover. It was an ugly sight!!!

7....And drove that piece of ilk for about 3 years to work
