73/68 dart sport.

I have to agree that the duster is a nice looking car but if not for the 67 Dart there never would have been a duster!

BUT WE DIGRESS!:)
I believe you meant to say without the 67 Valiant there never would have been a Demon. Dodge used the Valiant Duster to give birth to the Demon.
67 Dart was the birth of the little 69 Roadrunner "The Dart Swinger". The Swinger was a no frills Muscle car for Dodge in 69. If your an A-body person you know the Swinger was the car that was the reason for the quote.
" On the 8th day god created the 340" Those little cars were a threat to go up against. I am a 71 Duster/Demon guy. But my respect for the 69 Swinger goes way back .

no what I mean is...

On the first day God created the 67 Dart, and it was good!

My favorite A body has always been a 68 or 69 swinger. I like them all heck there isn't one I dislike. But I think the duster/dart sport is probably the bottom on my list. I like them don't get me wrong but there's just something I like better about a hardtop vs a sports coupe or "fastback"

You really think so? Lol. A Ford never looked so good.

Take off the 68 hood and stripe you added and they were just a plain car that never had a performance look. Maybe a mini late 60's chrysler newport. I just never cared for the 67 Dart look. The tail light lens look like autozone repair pieces. I owned many 67's and they never appealed to me even a 383 car. Resale red is the best color on them. We would either scrap them or turn them to 68's. Grille, tail lights and rear bumper from a 68. You already stole the hood and stripe from one

The body style’s still the same from 7 to 9. Hard tops are identical just a matter of trim level. Yep the 68 hood and stripes are my favorite look regardless of year. Just making it my own. I still don’t see a falcon though. Let me get my glasses. Lol.

My favorite Mopar of all I owned over the years was a 1969 Coronet R/T. I owned and built many different mopar since 1969 at 14 years old. I had B-body's , R/T's RR's GTX's Chargers, Superbees of every year. E's and A's but I never really cared for 67 Darts and 66 Valiants. The grilles were just the worst compared to other years.

Now I am talking Off the show room floor. Sure there are many that owners put their own face lift on that ended up looking very cool. But in the late 60's and early 70's when you drove by a mopar lot these two cars had no performance personality on their own. I even liked the ugly of all ugly and owned many. 62- 63 Polara's , 330's Savoy's Ramchargers and Max wedge.

Even the 63 plymouth Valiant could be made to look cool like the Tinmans Valiant. MOPAR . Masters Of Performance And Racing. Your personality shows in your car Classic or go fast. I am into the go fast look.

Some guys like hub caps. I took them off for the steel wheel look when I couldn't afford wheels . Hub caps are for more door survivors
