1968 150 MPH discussion

I can only for sure say that all big blocks came with the rallye dash clusters and all three of mine have horizontal display numbers and push to fit speedo cable connections.
1-M-code , 1- Formula S, both auto and 1- 4 speed 383. 2 of them have the A-57 trim package.

I don’t think they made a 68 M code or a A57. This is just about 1968 Barracuda 150 Speedometer.

i agree. 1969 "model year" was the only time the M-Code 440 Cudas were built and these cars were actually "built" in the calendar year 1969 (after January 1, 1969) as they were "second half production" models like the A12 "69 1/2" Roadrunner and six pack Superbee. the A56 (340) and A57 (383) Cuda's were ONLY for the "1969" model year. however, there were A56/A57 Cuda's built between Sept. of 1968 through the "end" of the 1969 model year - around August of 1969.

This not true. The m code Cuda’s actually started to be built in late November early December of 68. I run the 1969 440 M Cuda Registry. Plus this is not about 69 Cuda it’s about 1968 150 speedometer.

Lots of myths here and lots of truths.

My 69 383S has the 120 speedo and standard rally type dash with N85 tach. It does have power disc up front. All of this was optioned! Go to Hamtramck site and spend some time to do some research! Fender tag's and or build sheets will show this!

And yes! All 69 cars had black center bezels! Really wish sellers on this site would take the time to research and list items correctly!

i would certainly be interested in "learning" how many M-Code Cudas were "actually built" in late November and early December of 1968. as i'm sure you will agree, the M-Code Cudas were "1969 model year" cars only. as to the 1968 150 speedometer - do you know if any of the November/December 1968 M-Code Cuda cars were built with the 120 MPH speedometer? did the 150 speedometer come automatically with the M-Code cars?
