You really think 43 to 55 year old cam bearings in a 440 are going to be good anyway.
What makes you think they werent changed two years ago? Ive heard nothing but stories of guys complaining about cam bearings too loose, too tight, cam wont go in, cam wont turn, yada yada yada.
Im not incompetent, i can look at cam bearings and see if they are worn or not, and my cams turn just fine. Why would i want to change perfectly good cam bearings and maybe buy a bunch of trouble?
Might have got away without changing cam bearings when rebuilding an engine in 1985 but this is 2021 and a lot of age later....
