1965 MMP's Barracuda Hemi swap! The Ever Changing Build

MM talk to paint shop and ask very important questions:
• how long before I can wax, what type do you recommend and not recommend.
• is it ok to put outside in sun to help enhance paint cure
• is it ok to just hose off with cool water if it get dusty when outside

I'd wait at least a week or two before you start attaching exterior things, trim, emblems etc. Let that paint cure really good. A guy I used to be friends with has a restoration shop and did a Camaro for a client, told the guy when he picked it up not to wax for at least a few weeks. The next week the guy brings the car back complaining about all these imperfections that just happened. Asked the guy if he waxed it, yes. What did you use, that new silicon stuff (this was back in 92 or so). Told guy he was told not to wax because although paint was hard it still cures over time and by sealing it he sealed the gassing off of the solvents (it was base/clear) and what he was seeing was paint pops, like tiny pin marks "everywhere". Car had to be scuffed and sanded with 2500 and reclear coated. He kept the car at the shop for over a month after reclear coated so guy wouldn't be tempted to wax it again. Guy paid for labor and materials to redo.
YES SIR!
I will ask all of those and more. I'm scared of paint issues and don't want any reason for a gaf on my end.. Tuck Fhat...!
