Oh be quiet. I was bein funny. Dummy.

And as usual, you weren’t.

This thread has a ton of useful information to help the OP make a decision, people actually taking the time to provide intelligent commentary and reviews on tools they’ve used. There’s nothing helpful about your post, you’re just being an ***. And wrong too, my impact is under $150 and has saved me more than that.

I went with the big 1/2" Milwaukee with around 1,400lb torque. It's pretty sweet. Many recommend battery straps and gun covers to protect them. Not as durable as the ol' metal air impacts.

Alright alright. Whatever you say sir. I'm an ***.

We have Milwaukee’s and a few dewalt at work. Will not take the abuse. I bought a bauer from habor freight. Best $230 I ever spent. Used it for 6 months on the out of the box factory charge which included driving out seat bolt screws in 2 50 year old cars.

I like Milwaukee

I bought a DeWalt 18v 1/2" impact years ago. It has never failed to do anything I've asked of it. I was stupid though and got the single trigger model which thankfully DeWalt has apparently dropped with the 20v models. I chose DeWalt over other brands as I have a lot of other DeWalt tools. As has been pointed out batteries are expensive and the interchangeability between tools is a real benefit to me.

Exactly, If you have a couple good batteries and a charger you can buy the tools only to add to your arsenal. I sold a lot of separate tools and accessories.

I have a Milwaukee M18 Fuel brushless. it has a lot of power.

For what its worth I have the Dewalt and the Milwaukee has a ton more power, wishing I would have bought the Milwaukee. It’s good to hear others have had good luck with the Ridgid warranty but F Ridgid and their BS warranty. Will never buy another Ridgid anything for the rest of my life.

Had them all Rigid is the way to go 100% guaranteed, and so are the batteries, they go bad they replace them, seriously the thing is a beast!

I have the Rigid 1/2 inch impact, and I'm not sure describing it as a beast is strong enough language.....lol. It has 600 and something ft lbs. of torque in reverse! The lifetime warranty on the gun AND the batteries and charger is what sold me on it.

Milwaukee, for the most power. DeWalt as 2nd choice. Ridgid name is china stuff for shop vacs, which I find disappointing and weird given the history of the pipe wrenches. No idea if the impacts are good.

I had dewalt for a lot of years, so tools to match batteries made sense. I have the smaller 1/2” impact. Tighten torque tops out at 110 foot lbs. but they beat the **** out of the sockets.
My sioux air impact is the go to.

as far as batteries go, i have 3 small batteries and 3 large ones. 20 volt. None have given me any grief to date. And some are from my original drill that i burned out drilling 2” holes in steel plate with a hole saw. I abused it a lot
