Please help - need 360 alternator/PS pump bracketing pics

Doesn't mean it is correct



just my gut here...

IF the triangular bracket IS the alternator bracket and not for the PS then 2 of the holes would be bolted to the WP bolts, and the alternator would be moved forward so the front ear is in front of the top hole of the triangular bracket. the photos below are from 67 273 with cast iron WP BUT my bet is they did not change things all that much through the years.

(note: in this photo I had the adjusting bracket in the wrong location)

The pictures that you have posted are for mid to late 60's small block with the cast iron water pump...

The OP has the 70 and later small block with the aluminum water pump - the brackets are different.... They mount similarly, but the brackets are different... The triangular bracket for the 60's style alt bracket has the one extra bolt that goes into a hole in the cast iron pump that the aluminum pump doesn't have... The aluminum water pump uses the two long water pump bolts to attach to the engine...
