Please help - need 360 alternator/PS pump bracketing pics

just my gut here...

IF the triangular bracket IS the alternator bracket and not for the PS then 2 of the holes would be bolted to the WP bolts, and the alternator would be moved forward so the front ear is in front of the top hole of the triangular bracket. the photos below are from 67 273 with cast iron WP BUT my bet is they did not change things all that much through the years.

(note: in this photo I had the adjusting bracket in the wrong location)

What you are saying makes sense and doesn't necessarily contradict anything I've posted already. The things I know for sure are that the triangle bracket is/was a part of the alternator bracketing as the car came to me (granted may not have been correct), and (while I agree) that two of the holes should interface with the water pump, there is no way that can happen. The holes are not spaced in a way that two of them could bolt to the WP. I have to decide if I'm going to put it back together the way it was, or try to find the correct alternator bracketing. Thanks for the input and pics.
