Can anyone recommend a good auto transport

Stay away from an outfit named "Auto Bound". Supposed to deliver door to door to my daughter outside of Huntsville, only 3 miles off the interstate. They dropped the car in a lot just off the interstate and then called her to come pick it up after it was offloaded!
As far as I know it doesn't matter which car hauling company you pick??? They all put your info into the same data base that all the individual car haulers see. From what I gather, there are many, many individual guys that haul cars using their own rigs. They all look at the same data base. The data base list every car that needs to be hauled. Each car hauling company (not the individual car hauler) wants to "lock you in" to their company to get a cut of whatever you pay to get your car hauled. They will do everything they can to get you to go with their company because the guy you're talking to on the phone is only a middle man who gets a cut of the total bill (they get paid for every fish they get on the line). He doesn't care about your car or your dead line, he only wants to get his cut of the money. Once he puts you into the data base their job is done and they get paid once somebody agrees to haul your car for the agreed amount. The agreed amount may not be enough to get anyone to haul your car but the guy you talk to on the phone doesn't care because once you get frustrated enough they know that you will eventually increase the amount that you're willing pay to get someone to haul your car. That's why it's sometimes better and easier to get someone local to do it that way you're working with the actual guy that's going to haul your car, NOT A DATA BASE!!!

If someone here on FABO knows something different then please post it, all I can tell you is what I experienced. I kept raising the amount I would pay to get someone (anyone) to haul my car. When it got too high I got a local guy to do it. I got the car hauled faster and cheaper.

Oh, one more thing.........The individual guys with their own rigs always look for the easiest hauls, popular cities along popular interstates/highways, cars that start and run and can move on their own (they hate non-running cars and cars without good wheels/tires), they like cars that don't require special care, cars that are easy to get to, destinations that are NOT rural or "out of the way", jobs that pay the highest rate for the miles hauled. This is why it's hard to get someone to take cars posted by regular guys, we're usually on a budget and can't afford to pay collector cars prices to get your car hauled. Now if you have plenty of money and are willing to pay top dollar to get your car hauled......well in that case, you're going to get plenty of offers to get your car hauled!!!!!! GOOD LUCK and keep your wits about you.
