Took the old girl out for a trip around the neighborhood. She’s running pretty good lately. I even entered in my first local show. not really any classes, just a People’s choice award and a mayor’s award. There were about 80 cars. I got some good positive comments, not bad for a 20 year old paint job.

You ever run into a bricklayer up there around Palmer named "Marty" (Alvin) Martin? He's a radio amateur

Palmer is a pretty small town 7K ish people, and we’ve lived here (in Palmer)since 98. I can’t say that I know him. We do live pretty spread apart in some parts though.

I've lost track of him. Last I knew he was trying to work in inspection as he is getting too old and lame to lay brick. He and I are about same age, so he's 70 something. He was a hell of a good guy, and I miss him. Used to live near Battleground WA and at some point had enough of the left AK is a poor place for ham radio because propagation up there is just not "decent" and of course northern lights disrupt. So he's not very active I think. At one time he had a Chevelle but sold it due to "such a short season"

How cool. My brother has been in the Anchorage and now Palmer area since 1997. He lives on the Butte side of Matsu River. I hope to get back up there again soon.
