I stayed at the Blue Swallow in Tucumcari,NM. Great little motor court. Has little garages. The people at the time were car people. Had 2 cool Pontiac’s. Really clean rooms. That town has quite a few Route 66 buildings still left. Also stay at the El Rancho or at least stop there. A lot of history used to be the place for Hollywood types to stay in the 5Os and 60s.
