67 Barracuda Cat Whiskers

Awesome info RedFish, Thanks, I'm guessing Glass run from other year vehicles isn't an option? I think I've seen some for B-Bodies, I'll look into it and post my findings in case anyone else is interested. Thanks again man this helps
Yep, some other models may still be available. It would be costly to learn if another application will work in a-body. From what I've read, the one facility that produced the glass channel run burned down. It could be several more months before something usable will appear in aftermarket. Their was some crap produced somewhere but it was proven to be crap early on. It didn't have the correct curve in the plastic substrate so it broke up in short term.
I'm sure all that is why someone tried a substitute material (get'er done/back together one way or another).
I have some kits here, purchased from YearOne long ago. Mopar part number 1-02932230. Approx' 55 dollars per door was a bit steep then. Who knows what the next price might be.
If we can prove the loop side of Velcro does work long term, get someone to 3D print the guides, we just might beat the aftermarket at their own game. I already know the Velcro kit from Walmart is junk. I tried it on my console carpet skirt. It would not hold the carpet in place. After a storm tore our ez-up canopy all to hell, I salvaged some great hook and loop material from that thing. Glued it in place, hand stitched a few tacks, good to go.
So anyway... if we are going to try a substitute channel run, lets use the higher quality material, in non air conditioned cars, so the glass goes up and down more often, and report how well it holds up over time.
BTW, if any onlooker with a 3D printer wants dimensions of the glass guides, I do have samples, caliper, etc...
