How do you deal with an 'on the way out' pet?

We did the same as @str12-340.

Our Vet came to the house and did the deed while Leo was lying on our bed. Much better than in a Vet office in my opinion. Then the cremation guy wrapped a blanket around him and took him. We got his ashes back along with a picture of the rainbow Bridge poem with a footprint and photo. All together it was $450. But well worth it considering the joy Leo gave me.

I'm really sorry you have to go through this, but I can tell it's something you're not taking lightly.

The only fault our pets have is they don't live long enough.
