Technically that looks like a 1970, fiberglass. 1971 were potmetal and the mounting studs were cast into the extension. It will work, just not original.
Thanks for the info! It is fiberglass. It was on a 71 Dart I bought for a drip rail. I’m not as fluent in the 70 and up darts like I am the late 60s ones.
