Yes I can verify that's woodburn..
That looks like a pretty light car with the fiberglass front clip and likely more. And those back tires look more like there's no rear end and it's just a tire going all the way across LOL that must have been traction like nobody's business...
Who's driving I can't see..:poke:..
I don't mind a little poking and ribbing but just let's see what we can do about getting carried away...
Again looking to see if we can get anywhere on the high road and not be the entertainment...

Seeing the above picture and description, I wonder if there's a thread with fellow members cars at the track ? I for one would enjoy seeing/ reading about member's rides all in one thread. Anyway, good luck with the high road .

I never got kicked off, I also didn't know you or yr did, that's how/why I posted the pic.
I'm sure @yellow rose would be happy to give all the details if you politely ask including all the failures that contributed to success, but starting a thread titled "let's try the high road" and then making snarky comments on how his car is built doesn't inspire confidence. If you truly want to bury the hatchet then my advice is set an example and leave the sarcasm behind.

I think it's a nicely built car, but it's a little slow. lol :D

 9.80 's with a 340 powered 4spd is getting it done

This is like 2 battle ships firing at one another from 60 miles apart... but one keeps on firing and misses each time cus he’s only firing on 6 cylinders...

:drama:

Carry On...

Well number one and first and foremost I am a smart-*** ask anybody who knows me and especially my wife... (Poor her..)
I didn't mean for it to be snarky I thought it was kind of cool...
Again this is why I like the in-person stuff and not via the Internet or text messages cuz there's a whole different side of people in person...

I was inspired while watching kindergarten cop last night, it reminded me of fabo.
LOL and that's not snarky..
And what's all this ask nicely stuff LOL I didn't intend to have a butt kissing contest just being reasonably cool that's all.. FYI nobody has to ask me nicely for my knowledge just ask me...
And if you recall my last post in that thread was something about me using the word gentleman... I'm not looking for a best foot forward just a foot forward..

First and foremost we agree lol, and we also agree that in person is much better. It's hard to not think someone who's a self proclaimed smartass is not being snarky, next time just say "I think it's cool" and we all will get it. Or die of shock. Either way I think you need to give poking the bear a break and buy him a cheeseburger next time he's in town. You two got along quite well.

std or W2 heads?

W2 heads. Holley Pro Dominator tunnel ram. Two 3.75 Flying Toilets on alcohol.

EDIT: Mallory Super Mag III and a parts break, slow junk Ram clutch. They ought to be embarrassed they ever sold junk like that. And sadly they still do. It was a 4 speed car. 833 box and I think at that point I had a 3.09 first gear. 5.57 axle ratio. The tires were 14 x 32 and they were at least 2 inches too wide and an inch too tall. The car would have been quicker and faster with a smaller tire.

I’m pretty sure I was making some 300 foot test passes that day. I just had my jacket on. Probably working out some 4 link settings and RPM at launch.

Trust me I'm not the only one who proclaims it LOL.. I've had more than one customer asked me if it's time for me to go home yet LOL..
I've spun my tools so much that they feel natural in my hand and I'll watch a customer struggle for a little bit and go over and put a nut or bolt in that he's been struggling with for 10 minutes and ask him if he was trying to make a career out of that? LOL.. you know just fun and poking at each other... They all feel sorry for my poor wife..
Do you remember the first thing that I said as soon as I came up to your booth at that swap meet?...
I'M LOOKING FOR SNOWMOBILE PARTS!!..

And remember there's always room to take even a higher road if I'm being snarky or whatever.. so it doesn't necessarily have to be me taking the high road..

Also I offered to buy but he insisted..
I didn't think five guys burgers was the place to start a fight lol.. over who's going to pay for the burgers.. see I took the high road and let him buy LOL...:poke:..:D..
