Kim has it right - no washer under the long shoulder bolt/nuts that go in the sleeves - nowhere for it to go! Always conical washers on the end studs - the conical washers distribute the force on the cast iron ears and keep you from breaking them off[/QUO

I probably should’ve been more clear when I’m referring to nuts I’m referring to the sleeve nuts as well as the common nuts. I know the kit contains 10 conical washers But on the two survivor 1970 340’s I’ve looked at I’ve only seen the conical washers used under the six bolts ,just my two cents.
