Looking to upgrade the trunk in my 64 Signet. Does any company make a pre made kit that I can buy all done and install?

nope, you got to make your own. You can use some very thin plywood or find some of of the black cardboard stuff that is strong and easy to work with. Don't ask me where to get the black cardboard stuff have not used it in like 30 years but when I ordered the trunk liner kit for my 66 charger it was black cardboard

I used artificial grass (astroturf) in mine and it turned out really nice.

Good idea, thanks. I hear that maybe Hobby Lobby or Joann’s Fabric stores carries some stuff that might work. Will check that out.

I actually don't like any of the "factory style" mats available. They dry out, crack and fall apart. If you're not going for a factory restored look you can do like I did. Of course you might not need red. lol

Not the trunk, but for the cardboard divider between trunk and back seat in my 1965 Dart, I used the fabric divider from a 1983 M-B 300D that I stripped. It has a rubbery coating on the seat side and white fabric (polyester?) on the trunk side. M-B hung it off the top seat hooks, which I did but cut new slots since the Dart's were in different places. Otherwise, about the same size and flows down under the bottom seat a bit for better sound-proofing. I just trimmed it a bit at the lower sides w/ scissors. The fabric feels really strong, so unlikely it will rip at the slots over time. There are likely many other sedans w/ similar separator material.

Haven't figured what I will do for the trunk floor, but the thin carpet cover from the M-B might fit. Not sure how I'll cover the spare tire well. Perhaps I'll leverage something at the junkyard next time. The M-B was missing that hardboard cover. ABS sheet might work, but pricey and might sag from heat. Home Depot carries plastic sheet - acrylic and polycarbonate. The later is very tough (used for bullet-proof windows), but not cheap. They also carry PVC channel sheet, as used in political signs and such, which might work, as does JoAnn's Fabrics.

BTW, I got that 300D for free (just haul it) and had recently been repainted but doors, glass, seats, and engine were missing. So now I have almost every other part for my 2 300D's, plus got a replacement fender and hood to fix what my daughter wrecked. I sold the stripped shell as scrap steel (only $45, but paid for the U-haul trailer to haul it there).

I recently purchased a 4'x 8' sheet to redo the trunk divider in my '62 Valiant driver. Only available in that size from Mom&Pop automotive upholstery store in Tucson. Cost was $17.63. I just described the application and they trotted it right out. Don't know it's specific name / type.
