Alternator Problems

If your car is mostly stock, you probably don’t need a high output alternator. But if you go up to a high amp alternator, you should really do some wiring upgrades as well. Mostly involving the bulkhead connector and the ammeter.
I had a Powermaster one wire 95 amp alternator on my Duster and had nothing but trouble with it. Because of my experience with it, and the company, I now avoid Powermaster at all costs.
I have a Chevy style one wire Tuff Stuff 100amp alternator now and it’s been working great. It bolted right up to my factory brackets, and was half the price of the Mopar style.
