How do you deal with an 'on the way out' pet?

Thank You. I didn't think we were at odds, and again, if I came across like an *** I apologize. Definitely a sensitive subject.. and I didn't mean anything I may have said as a personal attack on you or anyone else. That being said, it's almost as all of us here consider pets as family, it can create ranges of emotion, and none of us really know how the other feels.
