318 WR ,trucks traditionally lay rubber (no weight over the rear) have you considered tubs? I know you aren't spending money,but you could fab tubs with sheet metal and welder, then put wide drag radials under it. Other than that, traction bars or hiomemade ladder bars maybe?
I haven't seen anything 318 has fabricated or welded. Not to say he can't I just haven't seen it. One thing for doing that kind of stuff is drilling and riveting. He could probably cut those out and drill and rivet some metal in..
