has anyone made some home brewed headers for a sb in an early abody? just looking for ideas out there

Spitfires will not fit early A’s with PS. I can take pics of a set I have if you want.

that would be cool if you could upload some, i have manual steering

Here you are (plus for anyone else who don’t know what the Spitfires look like) pics of small block Spitfire headers. These were designed and fabricated by Harold Johnson years ago for fitting early A’s with manual steering. Of course they likely fit later A’s and any Mopar chassis using a SB. I think Laysons is now reproducing them.

Get some beaters and make a new #5 tube. Thats all it takes.....The ones with the #3 going straight back then down over the #5 are the good ones to mod. The #3 has to tuck between the steering box and the block or take it forward and down like the #1 under the suspension.
