I'm getting ready to drop in my 408(magnum). I'm using a 904 transmission. It had a 318/904 previously. Question is will my braces fit on my now magnum 360 base build? Do I need them? I'll be running new rubber engine mounts and a new poly tranny mount.
 
I don't think the LA braces will even fit a Magnum- the bosses for the truck mounts are right where the braces would locate on the Magnum block. (And don't forget- those truck mount bosses need to be ground down for clearance for most any header. Test fit before dropping the engine in!)
 
I got mine to fit on my pre-magnum roller block with TTi shorty headers. It took a little clearancing though. The full length headers will definitely hit. If you can get them to fit, I'd use them.
