So I’m doing some work under the hood of my 1967 Dart GT 318/Auto (originally a 273). I apologize ahead of time for my lack of knowledge, this is my first Mopar.

Is this the wrong fan shroud? It’s my understanding the ‘67 Dart fan shrouds were plastic not steel. The radiator looks like the original ‘67 273 one but the fan looks after market.

Does anyone have a picture of the correct fan shroud?

Looks like a 22 inch radiator, and the number 33066, looks like the same radiator in my 69 Swinger. I think the right plastic factory shroud for this radiator is PN 2785614. I just ordered a repop from Van's Auto, as the one I had was not in very good shape. Haven't installed it yet, but it seems to match the original one fairly closely.

Will try to get a picture in the next couple of days.

Agree with Steve, that one looks homemade.

Hey thanks for the input you two. Yeah, after close inspection it looks fabricated… and not a particularly good job either.

Would it be possible for you to get a quick measurement of the opening in the shroud once you are able? From what I can gather, ‘67 fan shrouds are different from ‘68+ because they had a smaller hole for the fan. Obviously my fan is after market, so I’ll just have to make sure the repo will fit it.

Thanks again, both of you.

PN correction - my radiator is 38086, not (what I think is 33066 on yours) - still looks like a 22 inch one, though. I can get a measurement for you tomorrow, and will send picture and measurement.

That is the vendor number. So it doesn’t really describe what the radiator fits. Is there a 7 digit number on the top tank also? That will be specific.

38806 and 33066 are manufacturer numbers, the 67 273 radiator is 2785970, 971, 973, or 975 depending on what combination of heater and A/C or automatic or manual trans. The fan shroud number is 2785312 and is almost impossible to find, it was also used on 67 383 A-bodies. The 2898614 shroud will work though, it is for 68-69 small and big block A-bodies.

Make sure to verify your rad and fan #'s before buying a repro shroud. Your rad and or fan may not be original sizes, so a repro shroud "may" not fit. You may able to get another small block shroud to work that's cheaper?
Thanks Krazykuda. It’s says 68-69, and mine is a ‘67. But it shows the dimensions, so I’ll have to measure and see.

I have a ‘67 273 V8 radiator 2785973. My fan is an unknown aftermarket aluminum one installed by a prior owner. I’ll have to take some measurements once I pull the old shroud out. Thanks everyone.

It shouldn't be that hard to find the correct fan, if that flex fan turns out not to fit. But the standard 4-blade base fan would probably not be as effective.

Looks like the fan is way too deep in that homemade shroud. Proper setup might work better. Fan should be about half way in a shroud.
