2 or 3 extra quarts is cheap cooling and getting the oil away from the crank is "free" horsepower.
I bought a Milodon Roadrace pan with the wide sides. Yes I had to notch the stock K; took a 3/4 by 3/4 triangle out, like said; no problem. My TTIs circa 1999, on OOTB Eddie heads, fit just fine.
But I snagged the front a few times so eventually I had to install a small skid plate. Milodon shouldda put a bevel on the front of that pan. I slammed it hard enough one time to crack it. Wasted a lotta time trying to braze it up, in frame.
I run stock biscuit-mounts with a Schumacher tether.
