Metallic silver, by the way, and it was extra cost in 66 and 67, I believe for everything Mopar but certainly for A and B bodies. So yeah, a desirable color and undoubtedly less common in Valiants than more expensive models.
Just been looking at your fender tag and checking my little white books. Noticed that the "8" under the letter "Z" stand for "buffed paint," and is limited to "AA1 only." I'd guess that the metallic silver paint being buffed is one (or maybe the only) reason that it was an extra cost option.
