It’s been a while since I updated, didn’t want to post until I had succeeded in my project. It is by far the most complicated thing I've ever undertaken! Worse than the bonnet I made a while ago! No references to anything like this to be found. Made it up as I went along. I didn't count the hours on this one but over 10 months it’s taken to do this I would have spent at least 350 hours, quite possibly more!! Here’s some of the work that went into it.

Nice work! Way to stay with it. I prefer the Mopar Performance one myself.

Further progress on the dash. Now the new fascia is made, I've repaired the frame and made the mods for the new Gauges and A/C control and vents. Next stage will be the demister system, currently I've had the vents cut from 3mm alloy in a water cutter.

All the switches have arrived and installed. They look great and have a nice feel, worth the money! Final fit up of the custom fascia and new crash pad has been done, just a couple of little things to finish to be happy with it. Just waiting for lockdown to end to be able to get to work to cover it!

glad to see you worked out the casting issues. dash looks great

Seriously awesome work! Love the custom touches to modernize it a bit. BTW, I like the Mopar Performance emblem as well.

forgot to vote earlier. #4 looks good. looks like the correct vintage

Dammit Marty. You have some serious talent goin on!

Thanks for the comments guy's. Started to think there was no interest in anything but high HP motors!!
Nah, you keep posting! I love seeing people think outside the box and come up with completely new and cool ways to customize our old Mopars. I like even more so when people, like yourself, share the process with pics!:thankyou: BTW, where did you get those switches?

I've found two different suppliers here in Australia. First guy offers a range of set logo's only a choice of blue or green ring illumination, and latching type switching only. Then I found a guy that sells the matching switches, choice of colour, choice of latching or momentary switching. And customizable logo's that can be backlit!! Not to mention, cheaper than guy 1!! Of course they are genuine Chinese like most things, but they do look & feel quality. A Google or Ebay search for "billet buttons" should bring up a US seller. this will give you an idea of range.... 22mm Billet Automotive Buttons - Custom Stainless & Black 12v Switches

Awesome! Thanks for the info as I might be going in a somewhat similar direction as you with modernizing things a bit.
