Which jets came in the carbs? It should start and run with those in it. Do you have the synchronizing tool? Are you using a Remflex gasket and all the correct manifold attaching hardware?
Check the float levels and flush your fuel lines well.
If you don't already have a wideband installed. Install one before you start it up.
