Anyone know if you can get new A/C hoses that screw onto an old ROBINAIR R12 manifold set that will let it work in an R134A syst?
We used my buddys newer set to charge the Duster and it had the adapters to do R12. Even the clamp on thing for cans. I would think you could get an adapter going the other way for the old set...

I wonder what the history is behind the name Fargo. Dodge is the main company behind it, so why did they see a need to market themselves under a different name.

So, I pounded the bearing race out of the hub. Found the new race spins when installed. The race must have spun and wallowed out the hub. Fixes out there? Or where can I get a new 10" hub/drum? or both fronts? Rock Auto doesn't seem to list them.

Old Dodge trucks were also marketed in other countries as DeSotos.

Ford trucks were marketed as Mercury in Canada when I was young. A lot of peculiar things happen when US made autos cross international borders. A '70 Camaro pulls into gas station I worked, "Will you check the oil please?" asks the customer. I open the hood and it's got a 4 cyl in it . I back up a step to get a look at the license plate "British Columbia" Ahhh that splains that

Had a good soaker rain since last evening. Breaking up now. Looks like a few nice days ahead. Dry with highs in 70's.

Visited a Whiskey Chaser friend yesterday. He and his wife (just married last year) bought a lot out in the country and built a nice house. Dang it was nice out there. Quiet and plenty of space. Neighbors but 1/8 mile way.
I live out in the boonies also. One neighbor about 300 yards to the north nothing to the east, west or south. Only issue is I’m 3 1/2 miles to the pavement, but very quiet. Have my own gun range that I dung into the hillside behind the house.

Does the old race fit tight, new race same size? Small bolt pattern? Might be time to upgrade to disc brakes.

Mercury trucks seem really rare.

There's been a few on the YouTube channel "Ford era"

So i got it back on the floor, and moved it into shop. Now i have a load of tools to bring back from quonset.

There is a noticeable "race width" groove in the hub. My assumption is the race spun and "self clearanced/machined" a the groove. I didn't pay much attention when trying to hit the tiny edge with a drift. They are identical (within 0.001"). The new one has to be tapped to go in, then spins once in place, in the groove. I would like to stay with the drums as that is what the car is supposed to have and they work very well for how I use the car. Yes, still small bolt pattern.

Finally made an appointment with the physiotherapist. Yup, the left leg frim hip down is a mess. Another appt on fri and then tue. She’s determined to get it fixed up.

I did manage to find some locally. Going to go look at them right after work. Fingers crossed

There were also “International” pickups branded as “Knox” trucks.

Your you tube spots are classic Frank, no frills just the facts! Did your boy rescue you with welding gas as promised on Father’s Day?
Yes he did. Hes turning into a good man. I thought it was going sideways, but the jobs he had lately have changed his attitude for the better.
