Built in USA

-
Well, the old stock Wagner house came in, and it was Sunshit, exact same as the Raybestos. The pictures showed, specifically, made in Mexico.

I'm ordering new from The Leprechauns and we'll see if they're at least not Chinese. Might be time for custom hoses....

The ISSUE with Chinese parts is that they're made in a commie country that is preparing for war with us and gave us the ******* Chinese flu!

I don't care if they hit us with biological warfare or nukes but I'm putting my foot down if they start messing with the spark or fuel delivery on my Duster.

We’re to blame for the foreign built parts. They are cheaper cause labor is much cheaper. So we buy all the more. We all want a big wage and to be paid that the home companies had to raise prices. We buy more stuff online now than ever. With Amazon and other companies having cheap shipping lots of the mom and pops companies can’t compete. Now with their ******* flue China bought up all the companies that were going under and have enough raw materials to last more than our lifetime. We will be at their mercy for many many years. I’m glad I won’t be around to see the Chinese take over of North America. Sad thing is our kids will be punished worse than us. Kim

I dunno about using USA made parts on my 3 1970 Darts... after all they were all imported from Canada!!!

When I was growing up my Pap was a Union Steel worker. At the time in the mid 70's Japan was dumping **** steel in our country that we couldn't compete with price wise. Pap explained to me like this. When you go to the store to buy a tool you have 3 choices. Made in USA for $10 , Made in Japan $5 and Made in Taiwan $4. I want you to buy the Made in USA tool and I'll tell you why. That $10 tool supports your neighbor down the street who make a good living and spends the money he makes here in our country. I'll tell you what happens when you buy the $5 Made in Japan tool. The company in Japan doesn't pay their workers **** and they're all starving. Your $5 goes to Japan to support a big company over there and the money stays there. Pretty soon your neighbor is laid off and is out of a job. Next thing you know that $5 Made in Japan tool is $10!!!

My Pap was raised poor in a house with dirt floors and only had an 8th grade education BUT was one of the smartest people I've ever known. You look at the junk dumped in our country EVERY DAY by China and people are IGNORANT enough to tell you they don't care and it doesn't matter. IT DOES MATTER AND YOU SHOULD CARE!!! Your children and the generation after are going to suffer.

And how did it all start? Most consumers bought and still buy cheap as possible, without thinking about the consequences. With every purchase of a piece of junk made in China, the people in America and Europe dig their own economical grave just a bit deeper. But explain this to the ordinary customer, that a simple 100% cotton T-shirt made in the USA may cost $50 - $100, and that labour has to be paid fairly and accordingly.
Don't feed me this ****. I'm tired of it. The stores HAD to have China crap IN THEM before any of us started BUYING it. I did not go into some store and "DEMAND TO BUY CHINA ****" I tried to stay with US products but now sometimes you CANNOT FIND US made products. Find me a US built TV or Laptop. What? No? 'Z what I thought

And what I said is ESPECIALLY true of auto parts and Wix is a great example. AT NO POINT did I or anyone else wander into a parts store and say "Gee I wish you guys would get some CHEAP CHINA WIX FILTERS!!!"

Your right Del, the Chinese stuff was there waiting for the miser in us to buy the cheaper product. And most resisted for awhile till economics cursed us to. Cheap electronics paved the way and now we are paying the price for it. Our children and grand children will suffer way more than us. We would rather do a oil change with the cheapest filter than not at all. Just look now at the Speed master Heads for instance, cheaper price than the other brands. Then they have a 40% off sale. How can u not buy them? Kim

I came real close but just couldn't pull the trigger on a BB set for the last SM sale. Wondering if there is a future for TF or Eddy.

I took my cnc SM heads to the machinest. He was impressed with them. I got them bare. Put valves and springs, locks and seals. Good to go. Kim

didnt know that , have been running purolater --

dont it piss u off , to buy a hotrod part from jegs , or summit , and it has metric bolts / nuts ??!!

I bought Mickey Thompson tires from Summit, advertised US-made.

Made in China.

Returned them. Bought Goodyears, US-made.

At this point...I just want not-Chinese.

Pretty sure that's blatantly illegal.

Anytime i see something I want that's been sourced to China, I email the manufacturer and tell em they just lost my money.

About half the time, they'll tell me a part number for an equivalent part that IS made in the USA.
