73 Dart Sport Seat Belt Bolts

Hello,
When I put the belt bolts in the floor pan, the metal is so thin. When I tighten it down, the metal buckles. I'm afraid to use the belts, because of the thin floor board. Has anyone used heavier metal just for the seat belt
bolts ? Bolts and nuts are okay.
