TF's on a 318 ???? Oops, another 318 thread...

Entitled? because of a 340? nah..it s just a good platform to start a build. Not saying 318 isn't ,for the record I ran one in my swinger while I was building the 340.I however, didn't spend more than $500 on the 318 .this was back in 2003. the 340 guys entilted? no if they have a H code car its the whole package not just the engine .This is why there are so many 6 cylinder darts with high impact paint jobs, 360s, and Bumble bee stripes on them. these are clones,and those guys,some of them want H code prices for those cars. Ihad a guy with an obvious clone car telling me his car was original. i kept my mouth shut checked the vin tag, the only thing I said when he said it was original paint was "really? I dont remember the factory painting the dash and top of the doors body color...' there are too many people out there that dont know whats up...or they got into this real late when Mopars started costing big money.
you do realize that 340's aren't filling the junkyards for 125 bucks each, right ??? I mean, to get a 340, you have to look, perhaps travel, and then pay a premium for a core. You understand that, correct? It's not 1981. So, when a mopar guy decides he'll work with the 318 that's in his car and stick with his budget, be it 500 or a 1000 bucks, your advice to "just get a 340" becomes a waste of internet space.
