Looking for your thoughts what is a good gauge that is not too much money.Talk to a buddy yesterday that he has had the EQUUS, SAID JUNK, went with Stewart WARNER, I CHECK INTO IT kind of out of my price range, thoughts please, and hard to get in canada .

Always have had great luck with auto meter gauges, easy to install . I Have the ones with the back face and red pointer- cant remember the style name but I have never had one go bad. The oldest one i have has been on the car for 20 plus years

thanks, will check it out.

I have a liquid filled mechanical Autometer in the race car, been there for 20 plus years with no problems.

Keep in mind some electric versions come with the sending unit, some don’t. The gauge and sending unit added together is almost as much as a mechanical. A “full sweep”Mechanical is nice as it shows the temp more accurately as well as reads the temp when the engines off. I know SW is maybe more than you want to spend but a full sweep range such as shown is better than a half sweep with big jumps of the numbers as shown.

ive heard great things about speedhut (but never used them myself)

i have used glowshift and i find those a great intermediate between price/quality

(however, i will say this, the last one i bought i do not feel they are bright enough)

tried 2 equis temp gauges , both junk !

I have VDO gauges in my car and have not had any issues with them. I’ve compared to the filled gauge set I have and are spot on with there readings. The cheap auto meters suck...

Autometer has elec version. We run that in the 67 with TS17 sensor. Order from Karbelt speed and custom for the gauge. Speak to Cory.
