I have at least five arge ash trees that are dead I need to cut down, Just dont trust the vertigo and a chainsaw any more!

Good Morning Everyone. Sounds like a couple rounds of strong storms. Have a dentist appointment for a filling replacement. Heading up north for the weekend, so nothing much going on around here. My boy and I met a friend for a couple beers and food last night. Was a great time. I hope all is well out there.

All quiet up here on the Tundra. Working with Contractors to finalize shop pad. 120 by 42 holy smokes can’t wait. And I got the added bonus of a call from bank my credit card got hacked so they are sending a new one. O what joy.

Sucks on the CC John. I had that happen once, PITA. 42x120 shop would be amazing

The previous owners 25 years ago planted 80 trees and did nothing with them since. We have trees growing into trees etc.. By the time we're done probably cut down 30-40 trees. None are very big. Just need to clean it up and give the property a better look.

I have a few I'd like gone or cut way back. Too much $ and they just keep growing. I'm gradually dealing with them myself. Lot of work to clean up. One in particular is a big double trunk I'm not comfortable with going at myself. Had quote over a year ago of $550 to cut up and chip the branches.

Our previous neighbor planted long rows of evergreens. Now huge overgrowing property lines on both sides. I topped all of them for him many years ago. Nothing has been done since. I just try to keep the low branches evened up a bit on my side. I suspect at some point they will start dying and it's gonna be a mess. Useless for firewood and expensive to get rid of. I have 5 spruce down back that are all but dead I need to remove. Not bothering anything where they are. Just getting ugly. Those I will do myself.

Good Morning

Good Morning

The evergreens make for nice camp fire wood though. It is typically what I have done with them. Burn nice, doesn't take years to dry out like hardwood, and doesn't burn too long.

Just cut these Spirea back. Been trying to shrink everything I can to more manageable size. My thinking is if it’s healthy it can take it and if not it was already dying. Took a lot off them last year and this spring was the best they looked in years. Pic in bloom was a few weeks ago. At least there was no hornet nest this time!
