Learning curve
Every time I spend go to a track with my cameras I try something new. I often get bored when I am editing..so I will start experimenting. I have several different editing software programs but do 99.9% of my editing in Lightroom. Many of the other editing software programs run as a plug in in Lightroom. I normally wait until a company is damn near giving the software aware before I will buy it. This image I was using a couple different filters on my lens.
Was not real thrilled with the end result after I edited it...plain white vehicles just...well...are so plain white. I sent the image over to one of the plug ins and messed around a bit...much happier with the black & white version of it....
I have a kit camera that I have no use for it. I have used it a few times at the track, with a good lens it takes half way decent shots. I tried to sell it for half of what a new one costs...0 interest. When I get the $$ up I am going to send it to a company on the western side of Washington and have them convert it to infrared. Not real sure of some of this but from what I understand I need to send them the 1 lens I am going to use with the camera so they can calibrate the white balance to that lens. I will be able o use it with other lenses but it requires quite a bit of screwing around with it to get the calibrations correct. I am going to start looking for another lens like the one I rely on when I am shooting under the lights at the strip.
I never thought I would be this interested in photography. I still think I suck at it...but I have had several people tell me that they are pretty impressed with my images...a few went as far as calling me an artist. I feel I have a long way to go to be an artist...
