All of my air tools are made in the USA, and all still work. There all about 40 years old though. lol
I'll tell you if you know what to look for you can find this old stuff on ebay for cheap. I bought a CP 725s 3/8" impact for $40 new in the box. I have several of them and I still use the one I bought in 1977. The best impact ever made.
 
Bought one like this (stole this photo off eBag) in 1976. Still works. I've tried to get parts for it but I'm afraid the SK line of impact wrenches are orphans.

I've had the 3/8 version for about 2 or 3 years now, it works great & is used almost daily. Biggest gripe is the retainer ring doesn't hold up long & sockets won't stay on. I put a small piece of electrical tape over it & a semi-permanent 1" extension to attach sockets

I have the clone of that and a 3/8 air ratchet and chisel. 70's vintage and still work like new.
My master tool box is filled with vintage SK tools.

Not using impact sockets can do that. Lots of people think impact sockets are harder but its quite the opposite.
 
My best impact is an SK I got out of a dumpster at work. Have tried a few HF ones over the years and they seem to work fine. I have heard many good things about the new battery ones but I haven’t bought one yet

I have one of the harbor freight impact and it works great. I dont like the dial on the back to change directions, its really hard to turn. Never use the air impacts anymore, my milwaukee cordless impacts do everything I need. I did have to use the air one the other day because the cordless one was just slightly too long to get in a tight spot.
Im willing to bet snap on wont be around in the next 10-15 years. They are steady screwing people over on the "lifetime warranty". You now need a receipt for the tool you bought 30 years ago in order to get the warranty honored.
Harbor freight has a better tool line intended to compete with craftsman, husky, and most chain store brands. I still wouldnt buy it but at least its not total garbage like most of the stuff they sell is.

they are made in the USA, they will be around for a long time, 101 years and going strong, you dont need a reciept for warranty. Lifetime warranty only applies to hand tools. No one ever gave lifetime to air or power tools.

They got no Navy. Being a Marine. Its hard to say this but the Navy will save our *** in a Chinese conflict. We are in a unique geographical location that offers us water protection on both coasts, but our soft underbelly southern border is really wide open for any assault based out of an occupied Mexico. Total long shot "Red Dawn" scenario but our economic power will break China before our military will need to. They need our money, we need their goods...until.we can pull our head out and start up component and IC manufacturing again. It would not take long. Its the supporting components supply chain that is the weak link. Well walk this economic tight rope for years. Cold War 2.0. Soviets are a non issue now. Heck, Germany is going to a Soviet oil pipe line supply so they just signed a deal with the devil. F em, not our problem anymore. Tired of the world sucking the tit of America and then bashing us on the backside.
 
Well. If we counted all our landing craft and coast guard boats. We would have 25% more "craft" than we admit to. C'mon man! 11 Carrier groups to 2? 94 Cruisers to 1.....they have more smaller ships but even the carriers they have are absolute soviet surplus junk or just shells with nothing inside them. We got the 1st AND the 2nd largest air forces in the world, USAF and the USN. Wanna see what superior air power can do to a surface fleet, read up on Midway or any major sea conflict in the pacific since 1941.

Ingersoll Rand has a line of Made in the USA tools and compressors, but you're going to pay for them. They also have a line of ChiCom tools that are more affordable. My IR 5HP compressor says Made in Kentucky, USA.
