Stop in for a drink.

Angels envy my opinion is a bit over hyped. To Mike’s point you can get more for less. Not saying it is not yummy because it is. But for that price point I like something with a bit more depth and complexity. I find the Angel Envy smooth but a bit shallow. You look at your glass and wonder to yourself, shouldn’t there be more to this? It is smooth and yummy tho.

So all this discussion forced me to do a quality control check last night, just to ensure I was not providing false information. Nope still just plain yummy. Two thumbs up!

Looking around online, the Port version of this showed up on a ‘best neat bourbon’ list. They are in PA’s system, but not seeing any near me. Stopped in one store yesterday, lot of ‘out of stock’ tags on the shelves. :(

Another tasty port finished bourbon is this one. Fred brought a bottle to Midwest Mopars in the Park and we all fell in love with it.

That dang Fred will corrupt ya if you let him, o wait he is dropping off a sample from Lon at my house today. I will badmouth him after he makes the delivery! Hah!

So Fred showed up and dropped off this tasty bottle to my shop from MITP 2021, from one of our members. The bottle is the one with the duct tape label. Clearly I can’t put a members name on the bottle for a whole bunch of obvious reasons. I was going to call it tranny goodness but well…. That just didn’t seem to be appropriate! Hah! Thanks Fred for muleing it. And sincere thanks to the individual that created this yummy sample, you know who you are!

Hi folks, just stopped by to say hello.

I finished my day early this afternoon and decided to finish my efforts to restore/repaint the “Leap Frogs” garden ornament we bought in Cincinnati 20+ years ago. These are made of cast iron, weigh about 50 lbs, and are about 16” x 16” in size. They had long since rusted and the finish turned to a chalky Black, so I decided to bring them back to life.

Having a few cold beers now and laughing at the silly frogs...Cheers!

Those guys are cool....

In looking at the tasters box picture it appears very cluttered. Super poor photography. I will be more aware of back ground moving forward. That is just my main bench so everything lands there. TMM a long time ago took a picture of a glass on his wood table with light shining thru the back, really accenting the color of the spirit, I have zero recollection of what was in the glass. But the picture was stunning from a shade and color standpoint. I wish I had saved it. You still got that one TMM? You may not remember it but it was hues of gold in the sunlight? Just a most excellent photo. On your kitchen table (maybe) with the light shining thru the glass. Solid gold man solid gold
