Gonna put an S60 in my heap next week.
I have trans brake launches in my future!
Hopefully be back moving again some time late next week

Same here.... have 4.30 gears set up on a spool, and a set of 4.56s a friend gave to me that are currently in the car. Used gears were a challenge to get set up, but they have a ton of hits on them with no probs :). Once you get them set up it really doesn’t take long for gear swaps.

Wait. I thought you were a footbrake diehard guy??

i am. Use the brake for pro tree stuff, doesn't hurt to not have to worry about the 8.75 any more..lol
Gonna keep my options open, if i keep sucking off the foot like i did my last two outings… i may see how i am off the brake. All about seeing win lights.
Still getting used to this new combo

I’ve seen some of your time slips posted. You don’t suck anywhere. I hope it all goes well for you. It will be nice to have the option and not worry about twisting up a housing.

Mine has been in for nine years I think. Truly a set it and forget it deal.

oh, i can definitely figure out ways to lose. Here is one from last year that cost me a check…. This 418 seems much easier to dial……..

Haha, be careful...I moved over to leaving off a 2 step and a button about a month and a half ago (getting pretty good with it)....tried to foot brake the car last weekend and absolutely FAILED. Maybe it was just a bad day, but when you loose rd 1 with a 0.106 light, buy back and do the same for rd 2, it kinda makes you want to sell your car and take up fishing, lol.

Hell yeah! That beeotch won't break!

Change of plans.
Missing some bearings for the housing that are on backorder right now.
Instead, bought a nodular 8.75 with billet caps, etc, from Moser
They say the thing will live. We will see. Should have car back end of the week

That’s a bummer. I’m not a fan of spending money on an 8.75 for anything. It just doesn’t make sense. I get the bearing thing though. These companies can’t get anything right now, and evidently bearings are on that list too.

Luckily for lead69 and I, both our D60’s are almost ready. I think the axles were the wait and I think they are here. Should have the completed rear ends this week. Only took a few weeks to get them done.

It'll be fine Don as long as you don't put one of them fire breathing 318's in the car. :realcrazy:

Don why not a 9 inch as thousands of them out there for sale and I mean nicely built ones. I’m sure that 8 3/4 didn’t come at a cheap price.

buddy is a dealer for them. 1100 shipped
This thing will live for a good while, then i can sell the whole rearend in working condition to help fund a Dana down the road

I've never ran a nodular iron case but have heard good things about them.

It seems everything is hard to get right now. A buddy of mine has been waiting for months (unless he found them recently) for head studs for a turbo LS build

Probably a smart move if your mind is made up towards a Dana only purchase. Matt’s 8 3/4 has treated him well and other that a spool and Doctor D axles is all stock. His housing isn’t backbraced and stock caps so it can hold up well. I have two Dana’s and one car sitting unused with a 9 inch. I was about ready to pull the 4.88 gears out of my black duster when they switched to 1/8 mile. Now it’s perfect.
