Lovely. Avista Power/ inentional blackout in Spokane (Spokamentro)

I work in the air pollution monitoring field. I go to power plants every week to troubleshoot, install and maintain gas analyzers. I am seeing more and more coal fired plants shut down in the name of the environment. The truth is that the coal fired plants are clean (with the electrostatic precipitators and scrubbers) and they are necessary as solar and wind are NOT GOING TO DO THE JOB! Just ask California the epicenter for rolling blackouts and brown outs. They have put most of their eggs into the solar/wind basket. When the power goes out on a hot day they sit around and pray for wind LOL
