Marvel Mystery Oil

-
I use it in the gas 4oz to 10gl to keep the intake valve stems from gunking up.

I use it to keep my shortblock lubed up. No heads on it so just spray the cylinder walls every so often and give the crank a few turns

I use the MM Air Tool Oil. They seem to work OK with it.

Yep, I use it once in a while in the gas tank to lube up the upper cylinders, carb, etc. I've used it in oil when I first buy a car to help clean up a little before changing oil.

Does it really work? Anybody using it? Says it can be used in oil or gas. Thanks.
What i used it in.. it didnt work.
But I heard you can put some in your gas or you can put it in your oil and you clean your piston tops off and desludge the motor. Mainly the kind of stuff you buy for a used car mystery engine that's sat a while, dirty or..

Lucas added to oil change seems to help with dry starts and lifter bleed down. Much less clatter on startup after sitting for a few weeks.

Dam Rusty, u just have to stir the pot. Ok, does it work as good as their claims on what they have printed on the bottle. Their claim to fame. Kim

Naw, I was just wantin to know what YOU were trying to do with it.

I've had good results with it in the past. As mentioned, it's damn good air tool oil too.

I want to run it through my 2 cycle boat engine cause it pisses around a bit at idle a bit to much for me. Update. I got the correct Champion spark plugs for it. I ran the motor is a big plastic barrel cut in half. I can’t believe the difference. Runs pretty dam good now. Will be taking it out this afternoon. Will report back later. Kim

You talkin about running it in the gas then I suppose? It does good there, but I honestly think Sea Foam is better.

I tried seafoam which has worked great for me. But I just found out the previous owner put in the wrong plugs. So I’ll get the proper plugs and see if they cure it.

I had an old John Deere two cylinder tractor that was stuck. I removed the spark plugs and filled it with MM oil. Took about a week before I could turn it. I rebuilt the carb, pulled it with another tractor and it’s still running today!

We had a BIG two cylinder John Deere that was our class project one year in auto shop. The cylinders were so big you could stick your head in um. In fact, that's how we magnafluxed the block. lol I remember it well. It just kinda went "bop bop bop bop bop" and slugged along, but that thing would pull a house down. It was also factory yellow and now green. Still stands out in my mind.

Nothing runs like a Deere
Or smells like a John

long used to get long dormant engines to run without scoring the cylinders or breaking rings - take the plugs out, let it soak for a week periodically squirting a bit more in. Turn it over by hand and repeat if there is too much resistance. I've used it on a couple engines for beaters, or to get a motor freed up for disassembly.

I changed the plugs to the factory Champions. It runs pretty dam good now. I did add a Seafoam to it today to see if it smooths right out. If not I’ll add the Marvel Mystery oil. Here is a few pics. Kim
