I have pictures of my heads and casting numbers on my 71 duster with a 318, would anyone be able to identify what these are exactly? Thanks in advance!

What results do you get when you toss those numbers into Google?

You might be pleasantly surprised.

I’ve gotten like 2 or 3 different convoluted answers. I was hoping for more concise information on this head specifically as opposed to what it could or might be or what other engines had in the 70’s

LA 915 heads found on 72-up 340's and 360's. Usually have 1.88 intake (some might have got 2.02), 1.60 exhaust, open chambers. Might also be called "J" heads. Looks like you have 273 rockers too.

Thanks for the info!!

Look next to the spark plug holes for a letter. That's also a helpful identifier.

Early 915B castings. Might be 2.02 intakes, might be 1.88's. As Rusted RR(LOL) said, the letter next to the spark plug holes can help. Just pokin' a little fun at you, Georgia. You've always been a good source of information.

915's come with two different valves. 70-71 have 202 valves- 72-73 have 188 valves . They come on 340 motors but will be found on 360's.
