Before I go beating on anything that I shouldn't, is there something I am missing on removing the strut rod from the LCA?

LCA is already removed from car. The nut is removed; see photo. But the strut rod will not budge. Is it threaded through the LCA? Or just stuck?

Thank you for your time.

Not threaded. It’s stuck. Put some penetrating oil on it for a day or two

I don't think it is screwed in. But before you beat on the threaded end put the nut back on and beat on it. Maybe even a piece of hard wood between hammer and nut.

Some penitrating fluid would be good too.

Heat the strut rod area with a propane torch, put the nut on the end of the threads so you don't damage the threads, then pound on the nut to break the strut rod loose....

I would use a big pair of vise grips on the strut rod and give a twist to break it free works for me and you don’t run the risk of damaging the threads by beating in it
