Where has all the money come from to clear out the boat inventory at Bass pro?

-
A friend signed a contract for an RV at the start of covid. The RV dealer gave him a fair price assuming that he would be stuck with inventory with the looming collapse in the economy. When it came time to deliver, the dealer did everything except stand on his head to "LET" my friend out of the contract with no penalties. Jerked him along for almost a month before my friend said there was no way he was stepping down. The douche dealer was trying to sell it to someone else for a lot more dough.
That figures, right when I'm looking for a motor home!

So if these dealer lots are empty, The money is there for a lot of people.
You don't need money to buy a new car. Just credit, and $400 bucks a month.

Lots of folks would rather buy an 8 3/4 sure grip diff for $1500 with a visa card than for $1200 cash.

Only time I have ever seen a snow mobile run was at a exhibition at Sunshine drag strip. They haul *** on asphalt.

I just bought a 2020 2500 4x4 CTD Limited Crew cab. I wish my payment was 400, hell I wish it was double that.

It's a perfect storm of all the above.

And it's going to hurt when reality catches up.

Wait about a year and we can all buy a really nice boat for half what its worth.

I'm about ready to sell my pontoon now. The water is so low I'm afraid to put it in the river. I might not be able to get it out this fall. Keeping my fingers crossed for some substantial rains to kill our drought soon. This is the worst I've seen it.

I don't know where all the money came from, but I know who AIN'T got it. LOL

horrible time to buy a RV. quality was pretty poor before the covid rush on them and now that they are being rushed together i could only imagine how poorly they are slapped together.. with things starting to retun to normal i imagine there will be many that bought RV's and really don't like it and will be selling in the next year or two.. probably going to be able to get some real good deals in the near future. and better yet hopefully the problems will be addressed by then too..:)

Anothr boom market for the RV is the RV park where people live in these instead of rent, much more economical. It is here, everywhere in Tx where people work and drive to Houston for example, and others that just live in the Rv and not rent an apt, retired on SS Disability??? or what/ But the RV parks are springing up like weeds.

My son is having a 500,000.00 house built in Colorado and should be moved in very late this year but probably early next year. The price went up 20,000.00 in 6-7 weeks.

We took a trip to the East coast a couple of years back. Almost impossible to find a camp site. Places were loaded with the big 5th wheelers. We spoke with a maintenance guy at the park and he told us that locals book the sites seasonally for 50 bucks a night, and air B&B their houses for $350 a night. As a tourist, it pissed me right off.

Home or Apt. Rent around Houston is crazy high. Plus there are jobs that will bring a family in for several month or a year and then they are off to another job and location.
Wife sold last year (she is a country realtor) a 120 space RV park for her cousin. About 40 mi from N edge of Houston. It has 100 spaces that are full time occupancy by the same year end and out people. I think rates were $350 with utilities. The new owner raised the rates some I bet. Rates would be higher the closer to the city.

We had our spot in this campground for 10 years. I watched lot rent go from $270 month to $620.00 month. Just sold ours 6/22/21.
Fortunately my park model was paid off i bought it for cash in 2012.

Here is an example of home prices in Boise area. This is a crackerbox in my city . My home has tripled in 5 years!
Young people cant afford to buy or rent . Investment groups are buying 20% of the homes in our area.
