Bunny vs. Hawk

Definitely not a dog. Absolutely no signs of struggle, it was instant. No flattened grass or fur. Not to be gross, but the only "part " that were missing was half its head and one eye. The part of its head laying on the grass was intact. Apparently the brains and eyes are a delicacy for some birds(owls, hawks) and that's all that was taken.
There is a Coopers Hawk the neighbours spotted on our property as well as baby owls. Foxes are becoming more predominant too around here.
Thankfully it was instant, or I would think there would have been more signs of a struggle.

That looks like fox or neighbors dog. Hawks would had grabbed and go. Just a pile of fur on the ground.

God rest his soul - hopefully it did not suffer. It’s one thing to kill and eat but to kill and run is a waste.
Sucks to be at the bottom of the food chain.
