Buying stock in weed?

Funny how people keep saying thinks like "If you think weed is addictive, you are uneducated".... Really? If you think people can't get addicted to weed, you're the one who isn't educated and have probably only read the anecdotal evidence to support your desire to get high or give CBD to your dog.

If you want to become educated, talk to the people that deal with this stuff daily. Go to the psych ward at a hospital and ask about the effects. it's estimated that anywhere from 6 to 10 percent of users form a physical dependency... i.e. an addiction. When a forming brain, those less than roughly 25 years of age, is exposed to massive amount of THC, it inhibits the development of the pre-frontal cortex.

Here is an article that discusses it. The research talks about 16 and under, but the fact is the brain doesn't stop developing until much later.

As far as it being a gateway drug, I think that's a "somewhat" unfair distinction because people can and do get addicted to many things. Personality plays a big part, but if you are doing it while young, then you cognitive abilities and reasoning are impared sometimes for life.

When you talk to the folks in the psych ward, ask them how many people have been diagnosed with a permanent psychosis... you'll be shocked and should be if the answer is more than 1. it happens.

if you think it's like drinking and out of your system quickly, again, educate yourself. THC is metabolized slowly and stored in fat cells. The only way to speed that up is heavy exertion. if you're a "casual" user, on average, it's in your system for 3 to 6 weeks depending on your activity level once you stop. A heavy user can have it in his/her system up to 120 days in some cases. That's an extreme case, but it does happen.

The pot today can be 27 to 30 times more potent than what the hippies at Woodstock had. This stuff is no joke and kids are getting access to it all the time.

Now, if you have read this far, awesome, because I want to make it clear, I believe there is a place for it, but not yet. It's finally becoming something serious science and studies are getting behind with both good and bad results. I'm convinced for every natural ailment, there is a natural treatment on this planet. Just makes sense to me. What bothers me is the cavalier attitude towards it all and the careless attitudes about it.

Finally, look into what they pot heads call "wax". It's a product of passing liquid butane over pot and extracting a substance that looks like ear wax. This can contain 75 to 90 percent of the THC in a concentrated form that is burned an inhaled.

This post isn't to spark debate, it's to raise some awareness and maybe prompt some of you to do some more research and maybe learn something. I have done mine, I won't debate anyone on this. Do your own research and make you're own decision but don't for a second believe it's harmless.
