Just wanted to post some photos of the 1972 Duster that I recently acquired. I had a 1959 austin healy that I bought 15 years ago that I lost interest in, so, I sold that and bought this to put in it's garage spot. One family owned, original owner passed away 15 years ago and left this to his son. There are a few non original things done to the car, but nothing that couldn't be put back to original. The only paint work that was ever done was a parking lot ding fixed on the passenger's side door, it was painted from the moulding down, the color match is not perfect. Everything else is original. This would make a great 340 clone. It's possible that I will be selling this in the future. It is a 225 slant six.

Very nice find indeed! The best finds are just like you described, one owner and the car has stayed with the family. A 340 would be a fun project, but this is an original car so personally I would fix it up like a great running original. Congrats!

Wow that’s a sweet Duster! I think I seen that posted somewhere for sale, looks familiar to me....very cool car and that’s a rare dealer promo Duster Keychain too! Nice time capsule!

I don't think that it was ever offered for sale. I saw it when the previous owner had his garage door open and I inquired about it

Must have been one similar then, even was a survivor but I don’t remember it being as nice as yours....nice score and enjoy!

I would LOVE to have that. What a nice car. Keep it like it is. It just goes to show this stuff is still out there. Being in the right place at the right time helps.

That is a wonderful survivor and they are only original once! As they say.
Anyone with talent and $ can restore a car, and I admire those that an build killer hot rods.
