How's Pennsylvania?

Where did you work in Waynesboro? Was it Frick Company?

Just went to Mason Dixon last week. The amount of new construction between Carlisle and the MD/PA line on 81 is crazy. Mostly large warehouses and production plants.

Frick company has a cool history, for sure! Thanks for the link.

I don't get to the area much anymore but the last time by, I saw all the warehouses going up. I'm glad there's businesses building in the area.

I worked at Landis Tool Company. I ran a manual turret lathe. They made crank, cam, and value grinding machines that they sold to automotive manufacturers. One Landis brother started Landis Machine Company and the other started Landis Tool Company.

Landis Machine Company was a block from the house I grew up in!! Landis Machine was two blocks from my house and had 600 employees! I started there in 1981 after high school. In 1984 orders for new machines dropped way down when Japan started producing the same machines cheaper and I was laid off. By the way, in 1981 I was making $8.00 an hour. Today, minimum wage is $7.25!!

And pittsburgh. I’m glad I’m in a red area 40 miles from there. Today I went to the dentist and got a check up and teeth cleaned, hardware store, gas station, got my hair cut, and stopped at Dairy Queen for lunch. I didn’t see a mask all day except for the dental hygienest and she always wore a mask while cleaning teeth.
Are you anywhere near Somerset and Bolivar. I have relatives on my dad's side in those area's and Youngstown , Ohio.
