I was "station dito" in the Philippines, and as luck would have it i met a lovely young female local female who took a liking to me. (go figure) Well she invited me to her home to meet the family, they went all out on a traditional feast. During the dinner I tried many dishes I liked and some i didn't, later that evening she asked how I liked the meal, everything was great I replied, especially the stew, Ah she says, that was aso (Tagalog) for dog, Damn!

Yo, @Avispa I was "B" Company, Marine Barracks Cubi point '87-'88! Did rifle PT under that A-5 Vigilante and ran that F'n flight line 3 times a week. If we beat the CO up the hill after that run we got early libo. Out of >90 on a company run, only 6 or so beat that SOB. And why did you guys run those A-6 engines all F'n night? Tried dog too, tasted like corned beef, nasty. Never found out what was in the "monkey on a stick" they sold for a nickle outside the main gate, get about 2 bucks worth of those on the way in at 0200...
