Keystone Raceway Park this weekend

I can understand that, for some reason with all the Mopars around only a few show up to race at Mopar events. I try every year to get people to come to the annual Mopar race at my home track but few show up. Even South Mountain had to open up their Friday evening Mopar race during Chryslers at Carlisle to all makes to get better turnout however there are a few Mopar only classes which I will be running my truck in two maybe three classes. With Chryslers at Carlisle being such a huge event it is so strange that out of all the cars there only a few show up to race. I went to the Mopar Nats once back in the 90s it stunk for racers and I never went back again, went to Keystone twice back in the mid 2000s for Mopar races and had a good time but then it was Mopars only. Being a Pittsburgh native it brings back memories going there I actually worked for a heavy equipment dealer in Monroeville for awhile right after I graduated high school.

Back when Ron Wallace and Ed Stambaugh owned the track the Mopar race drew in a decent car count and had TONS of spectators. They were hooked up with Carlisle Events where Carlisle got a certain % of the gate fee, but Carlisle would bus people over. They would even bring over some of the big name people (I remember Goldberg one year). Stanley bought the the track in 2008 renamed it to Quarter Aces Dragway. He didn't want to give Carlisle the % Ron and Ed did so Carlisle quit bringing people over. After running the track into the ground (even though he did make some improvements to it) the track was closed in 2013 I think it was. Mike Natoli bought the track renamed it South Mountain Raceway. Ever since the Mopar race got skipped for the year the car count and crowd has really suffered. Personally if it's a Mopar vs World thing, just have a regular race. Mason Dixon still has their Mopar only race, it doesn't really pay crap, but atleast its all mopars.
